Portugal Part 5

Disclaimer:
Portugal Part One is back four posts if you would like to see that first :)

This was our last full day in Portugal. Ols, Sofia, and I had to get back to work, however the rest of my family stayed for another week and a half.  This is always something that is very hard. Leaving your family and not knowing when will be the next time you see them and how much will change during that time is a very hard concept. Oli mentioned that that was one of the hardest things he has had to do.
When saying good-bye, we usually use the terms "See you soon" instead of an actual "good-bye". Good-byes are too hard, and we believe that it is simpler by stating it like that. I absolutely love my family. Oli and I are talking already about going again. We miss it.
Taking pictures at Grandma's house:

Dad took us to Sintra one last time. Dad wanted something romantic for Oli and I to celebrate our two year anniversary. Two year anniversary! Haha we only have another month and a week until it is our three year anniversary! :) We were so grateful to my dad for doing this, and trust me, this was the most romantic place we could have gone.

The pic below is us resting right before we go :)

Celebrating at dinner time our two year anniversary!
I don't have any pictures of us saying good-bye, those are on my parents' camera. These are just the last pictures of us having the best pastry before we get on the airplane.

We love you Portugal.
We will be back again soon :)

Portugal Part 4

Here we are in the heart of Lisbon. I absolutely love this beautiful city and all it has to offer. The shops and restaurants are to die for and the architecture is simply breath taking! Oli really LOVED Lisbon.

Dad wanted Oli and Spencer to see most of Lisbon in the short time allotted that we had throughout our day.
To do this, we took a double-decker bus to experience and see all of Lisbon.

I love the architecture of this theatre! It is so breath taking.

Here we are riding the famous old rail transits. Ever since I was young I have loved these transits! It is a wonderful way to travel from store to store or to get to another place across the city.

Portugal was playing Norway in football (soccer) the day we were in Lisbon.
Here the Norwegians are awaiting the game. Go Portugal! :)

Swimming in aunt Carla's pool! Her house is seriously so beautiful! I love it!

Watching the Torro trying to get the bull. Unlike Spain, Portugal does not kill the bull. This is something that I would watch with my grandpa since I was little. It is one of my most fond memories I have with spending time with grandpa.
Going to a little fair that Oeiras had one night! We all had such a blast. I can not say how much I love my family. We always have so much fun when we are together.

I love the purple flowers that are everywhere in the trees and that fall to the pavement. It adds such  beauty to the roads.

My aunts and uncles are always spoiling us. Here they were given Aniston a Scrat balloon from Ice Age.
